Future / not-yet-categorized channels

Drop new channels here, then promote them to first-class when volume justifies it.

  • Direct traffic
GA4 'direct/(none)' — typed-in URLs and bookmarked visits. High direct % usually = broken UTMs.
  • Events
Conferences, meetups. Add a Calendly link per event with ?utm_campaign=event-name.
  • Partnerships
Co-marketing, integrations, joint webinars. Track via referral UTM.
  • Paid media
Google Ads, Meta, X ads. Will need ad-platform connectors (separate phase).
  • PR
Press mentions, podcasts, guest posts. Manual entry until volume justifies automation.
  • Podcasts
Show appearances and sponsorships. Per-show UTM + mentioned date in notes.
  • Webinars
Live or evergreen. Track signups + meetings booked from each event.
  • Offline referrals
In-person intros, phone calls. Add as Lead manually with referrer name in notes.

How to add a new channel

  1. Open Airtable → Channels table → Add row with the channel name and type
  2. Use a unique utm_source value for that channel on tracked links
  3. Update ingestion/attribution.py's UTM_SOURCE_TO_CHANNEL map, then redeploy
  4. (Optional) Promote the channel to a first-class tab by adding a sub-page under app/channels/<slug>/
